Continuing with bodybuilding, we'll take a look at the women. In the heavyweight class, Robin Hillis of Ontario is hungry for a pro card. She placed a respectable 5th at the 2010 Canadian Nationals. The competition at the Arnold Amateur will be fierce but she should do well.
Mary Lynne MacKenzie of Ontario will also be in the heavyweight lineup. She placed right behind Robin at the Nationals. She has great size and good conditioning. She can place well.
That's it for the bodybuilding women. We move to Fitness next. Here Gloria Mohninger of Calgary will be the only one representing Canada. Placing 3rd in Fitness Short at the Nationals, can she crack top 3 again?
The biggest division in a show nowadays is usually Figure. In this division we have Angela DeFrancesco, Lauren Jacobsen, Anita Kus-Roberts, Rosa Valente, Francisca Dennis, Erica Marten and Emily Zelinka .
From Montreal Stefanie Richard will be going for a top spot in the Figure Divsion.
In the Figure Masters division, from Calgary we have Marcella Cameron as the only competitor from Canada. Good luck ladies.
In the bikini division; Ashley Duxbury, Mymuna Nasrin, Cynthia Benoit, Chelsea Boissonneault, Anne Krumsiek, Ainsley McSorley, Serena Depersis, VĂ©ronique Morin are the Canadian competitors.
Good luck everyone!!

2011 Arnold Amateur Canadian Athletes - The Men
With just a few days out from the Arnold Sports Festival, it would be a good time to do a quick presentation of the amateur competitors who are trying to get a pro card.
We'll start off with Zaid Adamo of Grand Falls, Windsor. He competed in the 2010 CBBF Canadian National Bodybuilding Championships and came in 1st. Before that he competed in the 2009 NLABBA Provincial Bodybuilding & Figure Championships which he also placed 1st and came away with the overall title.
Next we move into the Welterweight division where Jamie Bonaccorso will attempt to take the 1st spot. He dominated the Ontario Physique Association Welterweight Division when he first started off and is now coming in the top 5 at National level shows whether in Canada or the US. Expect to see him place well.
There are no more male competitors from Canada until we get to the Super Heavyweight division. Here we have a popular Antoine Vaillant sponsored by Universal Nutrition who hopes to get that pro card that many believe he has the potential for. But this is a deep division with tough competition. A good luck goes out to Antoine as he will need to be perfect that day to have a chance to walk away with the win.
In the Classical Bodybuilding division, we have Mark Anthony Wingson from Oakville, ON that will be representing Canada. Expect lean defined muscles in this division and Mark should place high as he's always in good condition.

Canadian Bodybuilders do Canada Proud at the 2011 IFBB Flex Pro
This past weekend Canada's Fouad Abiad became the first male bodybuilding competitor to qualify for the 2011 Mr. Olympia. He was battling for the 3rd spot against Dennis Wolf who was bigger but not as conditioned as Fouad.

Ben Pakulski looked impressive and came in behind Wolf in 5th spot. Ben's quads are impressive to say the least. He can be considered the Tom Platz of this generation. With a bit more work, he will easily be a top contender for the Olympia.
Rob Belisle walked into this event thinking the show had a 202lbs category. Unfortunately it was just an open show and he had to go against the like of Dexter Jackson, Dennis Wolf and other top contender's. Rob's incredible conditioning placed him a very respectable 12th place.
A big congratulations goes out to the Canadian Bodybuilders at this event. Also a big thank you to the companies who are supporting these athletes with the Bodybuilding Supplements they need.
Until the Arnold's....
